Printronix goes RosettaNet

Printronix has implemented RosettaNet-based enterprise solutions.

Printronix provides multi-technology printing solutions for the supply chain.

To facilitate RosettaNet-based transactions, Printronix enhanced its existing TIE eVision system with TIE Integrator for XML data transformation and GridTalk for RosettaNet.

The integration was provided by Singapore-based GridNode.

"After an extensive evaluation of integration vendors, it was clear that the TIE-GridNode solution offered the most flexibility and value overall," said Kate Squyres, Printronix Information Systems project manager.

"The project managers were positive, professional and responsive through emails, phone calls and on-site visits. It was easy adding new RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) and making changes to existing PIPs. The TIE-GridNode product provided for the best of breed, end-to-end integration solution, resulting in a stable and efficient production environment, which was the ultimate goal."

"TIE evaluated various solutions-based companies before choosing GridNode as a technology partner. Many of the vendors claimed RosettaNet readiness, but when we began assessing technical specifications and related capabilities, the support for RosettaNet's Implementation Framework (RNIF) 2.0 wasn't there," said Mike Kersels, head of Product Management for TIE US. "GridNode delivered on what they promised. The result is a cost-effective and easy-to-implement business-to-business integration solution, specifically meeting the requirements of RosettaNet and the high-tech industry."
