GRIDNODE TO PROVIDE BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS SERVICES IN SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT’S TRADEEXCHNAGE PROJECT

 GridNode Inc, a leading provider of business-to-business integration solution and managed platforms, announced today that it has been awarded a project to provide B2B services in Singapore government’s TradeXchange project.

TradeXchange is a multi-agency initiative of Singapore Customs, Economic Development Board and Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). It aims to provide seamless inter-connectivity among commercial and government regulatory systems for the Singapore trade and logistics community. In addition, it will offer a single interface for submission and transactions to the Sea Ports, Airports, Maritime Authorities, Customs and other Controlling Agencies.

Under the TradeXchange project, GridNode together with its consortium partners namely Beyonics International, Intel and Tee Hai Chemicals will provide and pilot the following services on TradeXchange to the manufacturing and logistics community:

• RosettaNet Automated Enablement (RAE) to connect manufacturers to their suppliers for exchange of commercial documents such as purchase orders, shipping notices and invoices

• Direct connectivity for Trade Permit application for export or import permit to Singapore Customs system

• Shipping line booking and status connectivity to shipping portal such as GT Nexus

• Overseas Highway Customs Clearance to allow shippers or logistics providers to send data electronically for customs clearance to countries like Malaysia, Australia and Hong Kong

These services are expected to be ready by October 2007 when TradeXchange is officially launched.
